Marx, Carnegie, and Gates oh my!

Marx

Karl Marx wrote The Communist Manifesto and in this work, he references the bourgeoise which in this case references the people of wealth in the city that he believed suppressed the working class, preventing them to make as much money as they should be able to. He also references the proletariats which are the working class that works to live essentially.
With the expansion of the world goods market, national identity comes into question. As trade expanded communism became less accepted because large companies wanted to keep their wealth. So, the countries that decided to adopt it were not viewed very well by other countries.
Marx really had high hopes for all of what he thought communism would provide the proletariats. He thought that if they were able to get rid of capitalism then they would be able to keep more of their profits and in turn stabilizing out the economy.

Carnegie and Gates

Carnegie wanted to give away his money because he believed it would eventually solve the problem of rich and poor. However, I do not believe that even his small portion did much good because he is one of many with excessive money. Recently, Bill Gates of Microsoft chose to follow in the footsteps of Carnegie and give away his wealth through his foundation. I do not believe that this will solve the problem of rich and poor in the world today, people like to hold on to their money to much particularly in today's society. It is very possible though that they may influence more people of wealth to follow their example.
